A. General
With over 80 years combined commercial building experience in local government, heritage, health, and educational sectors, the Kematch team is comprised of dedicated personnel including directors, Project managers and trade sub-contractors. They are the backbone of Kematch and use their combined expertise to complete a wide range of projects for many well-known companies and government departments.
Kematch remained dormant for several years upon retirement of our founder- Kevin Gannan until recently Peter Murphy took the ownership and recommenced after returning from overseas. We are now mainly focusing of head contract works for our valuable clients.
Throughout all levels of our site and support management structures, extensive experience in the delivery of major projects is evident as demonstrated by our relevant experience and delivery method options.
B. Key Project Personnel
Kematch’ project team will be led on site by a fulltime Foreman, supported by our Directors Peter Murphy in the capacity of Operations Manager and Chintan Mehta in the capacity of Project manager.
The following are key personnel respective roles and responsibilities which they are to perform on projects.
C. Founder and Mentor – Kevin Gannan
Kevin originally founded the company nearly 60 years ago and been constantly developing the business to gain valuable expertise across multiple sectors. Over the years, Kevin has proven himself with delivering projects from small renovations to major refurbishments and everything in between. His multidisciplinary expertise and collaborative style has been developed over the years on sophisticated building projects in onsite and oversight roles and became well respected name in the Victorian Construction industry.
Kevin is now nearing retirement and provides valuable mentorship to Peter and other Kematch personnel.
Peter Murphy – Director
Qualifications
2017- Diploma of Building Contruction (Oten TAFE- NSW)
Background
Peter has around 35 years of experience in the building industry, having worked on a broad range of projects including commercial, health, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings.
Peter took over helm of Kematch in early 2020 after wide experience as a site manager with numerous building contractors around Melbourne. Peter’s technical background has enabled him to acquiring experience in several disciplines such as design, construction, supervision and management of projects. His broad technical knowledge,
tradesman background and project experience means he is a consistent contributor to constructability and risk management and can address site construction and management issues with equal aplomb.
Peter is able to lead project teams ensuring that all project goals and objectives are successfully delivered. His understanding of the industry together with a calm and collected approach and a will to succeed ensures that a close relationship is developed to achieve a successful outcome.
Peter has been involved in the delivery of number of projects. His recent experience includes:

Chintan Mehta – Director
Qualifications
2011 – Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics with Honors (University of South Australia)
Background
Chintan has over 11 years experience in the building
industry, assisting with Project management, contract management and execution. Chintan brings determination and reliability to his role as Project Manager with extensive knowledge of new build construction, fit-out and refurbishment by continuously striving to meet Kematch’s time, cost, quality and safety objectives on each project.
Over the course of his career Chintan has enthusiastically built a knowledge of latest trends and developments within the industry.
Our director has a number of remarkable skills including analysis, Project management, human resource & Financial management, client relationship.
Chintan is responsible for the delivery of all Kematch projects with the site manager to ensure the completion of project is on time, on budget, to the quality specified and hassle free.
Chintan has been involved in the delivery of a number of educational projects. His recent experience includes:

Gulneet Kaur – Contract Administrator
Qualifications
2021- Bachelor of Design in Architecture (University of Melbourne)
2023 -Master of Architecture (University of Melbourne)
Background
Gulneet has architecture background and currently undertaking Masters in Architecture. She has recently joined the team and certainly made great progress to now work autonomously and with authority. She looks after contract administration of projects and assists with estimating.
Her most recent experience inlcudes working on following projects:

- St Richards Primary School- $2.2M

Rhett Stevenson – Senior Site Manager
Rhett entered the construction industry as Carpenter and now has over 23 years of experience in the industry. Having worked at reputed builders, Rhett has recently joined the team as Senior Site Manager. Rhett’s eye for detail along with attitude of perfection has earned him the nickname of “Professor” in the team.
Rhett has been involved in number of high end and fit-out projects with various clients including:

Paul Bettiol- Senior site manager
Paul has more than 30 years of experience in Melbourne’s construction industry working on large scale development sites for reputed developers such as Mirvac, high-end residential, numerous commercial projects across retail as well as car dealerships. Having run his own construction company in the past, Paul certainly brings an old school flare and wealth of experience to the Kematch Team.
Paul’s most notable projects include:

Adrian Robinson- Foreman
Adrian has more than 35 years of experience working in Melbourne’s construction industry. His experience includes 12 years of Carpentry in domestic sector working for a high-end builder on Renovation and Extensions projects and has spent the past 20 years working in the commercial sector on Public Housing, Childcares, Schools, Sporting Pavilions and Office fit-outs.
